There are several reasons for you to visit Kashmir with your family, for its stunning chinar trees turning the entire valley yellow, beautiful lakes, snow covered mountains and Mughal gardens. Capital of Kashmir, Srinagar is the place you will mostly start your journey from to various other places in Kashmir. You can visit Dal Lake and Nigeen Lake which are one of the most famous lakes in India. You can enjoy a shikhara ride for an hour that can take you across both the lakes and choose to stay at one of the best heritage driven houseboats here in Kashmir. Gulmarg is a delightful place which is one of the most famous places among travelers. You can enjoy the most famous Gondola ride in India here. Sonmarg also known as a meadow of Gold, is 85 kms away from Srinagar and the drive from Srinagar to Sonmarg is breathtaking as you will be surrounded by Himalayan mountains. Places of interest in sonmarg would be Zoji la pass, Thajiwas Glacier and Nilagrad river. You will also visit Pahalgam as a part of this itinerary. Pahalgam is famous for places like Betaab valley, Aru Valley, Chandanwari.

Itinerary
You will start your Kashmir trip when you arrive at the Srinagar International Airport. Our driver will be ready to pick you up with your name placard. He will assist you with loading the baggage into the car. Now, after leaving the airport, you can either check in at your hotel or go for local sightseeing. Local sightseeing will include Mughal gardens like Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Botanical Garden, Chasm-e-Shahe, and Pari Mahal. After this, you can also do the famous Shikara ride in the Dal lake. In Dal Lake, you can buy saffron, fruit chat, and Kashmiri Kehwa or Nun Chai (salt tea). At the end of the day, our driver will drop you off at your hotel for the night.
We will drive from Srinagar to Sonmarg on the second day of your Kashmir tour itinerary. We will need about two hours to travel the 80 kilometers there from Srinagar. Sonmarg is a famous hill station in Kashmir. Sonmarg is a place where you can find snowy glaciers and a beautiful river that flows along the road. You can go water rafting or go for a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier. Tourists visit Thajiwas Glacier to enjoy its beautiful views, build snowmen, and enjoy a sledding ride. You can also have breakfast or snacks at the Sonmarg Main market. At the end of the day, we will go back to Srinagar.
On the third day of your Kashmir tour itinerary, we will take a road trip from Srinagar to Doodhpathri. It will take us approximately 1 hour 50 minutes to reach and is 45 kilometres from Srinagar. Doodhpathri is a beautiful place where you can see both green meadows and fresh water streams, Doodhpathri is located at an altitude of almost 9,000 feet, making it a cool escape from the summer heat. You can take walks with your partner and experience the beauty and peace of the place. You can also do Pony ride to the meadows. Then at the end of the day our driver will drop you off at you hotel at Srinagar.
We will drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg on the Forth day of your Kashmir tour itinerary. It’s 52 km from Srinagar and will take us about 2 hours to get there. Gulmarg is famous for its thrilling activities and natural beauty. After reaching Gulmarg, we can do the local sightseeing. If your Kashmir tour package includes a Gondola ride, then we will go for that first. Gulmarg’s Gondola is a two-stage cable car and is the second longest and highest cable car in the world. There are plenty of snow related activities available to you if you visit during the winter, including skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. In the summer, you can do ATV rides and pony rides. At last, we are going to come back to our hotel in Srinagar.
Today we will take you on another road trip from Pahalgam to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is 137.6 kms away from Pahalgam which will take us 3 hrs 40 mins to reach. Once you check-in into your hotel in Gulmarg we will first take you to the most iconic place in Gulmarg which is the Gulmarg Gondola, the reason it's so famous is because it is the second largest and the highest cable car in the world. Snowtrailtours can book your tickets so you can just enjoy a hassle-free experience at the Gulmarg gondola. If visiting during winters, you can also Ski at the terrain of Gulmarg. Our staff will then drop you back at your hotel so you can enjoy a delicious dinner and take some rest
On the fifth day of your Kashmir tour itinerary, we will take a road trip from Gulmarg to Pahalgam. It will take us approximately 3 hours to reach and is 130 kilometres from Gulmarg. Pahalgam is a beautiful hill station, and here you can see the Lidder River flowing through amazing meadows. If you’re looking for activities, you can do hiking, go on a pony ride to beautiful places like Mini-Switzerland, Baisaran, Pahalgam Valley, and Waterfall, or you can also try water rafting on the river. You can also go for a walk with your partner at sunset. At last, our driver will drop you off at your hotel for the night.
On the seventh day of your Kashmir tour itinerary, you can have breakfast at your Srinagar hotel, depending on when you need to depart or catch your flight. Take one final look at Dal Lake or the Mughal Gardens. If you have extra time before your flight, consider doing some last-minute shopping at a nearby market. Pashmina shawls, Kashmiri carpets, and handicrafts made by regional artists are for sale. To ensure that our driver drops you off at Srinagar Airport, please arrive at least two hours before your flight. Enjoy your travels!
